NEW MOON MAGIC

Weekly Seed of Inspiration

🌑

Did you know that the moon's phases, which constantly change each day of the month, have an energetic meaning woven into their enigma?

I typically focus on the New Moon and Full Moon, but that doesn't mean the other phases are not worthy of their depth and meaning.

The Moon's energy affects the Tides, Mother Nature, and Humans emotionally, physically, and mentally. The Moon has a gravitational pull on water, and because we are made up of around 60% water, we can be sure that the Moon is also tugging on our deep underworld.

While the Sun, representing our Self, appears constant, the Moon, representing our emotions, seems to change constantly. The Moon is the epitome of change. The different phases of the Moon tell us a different story each night of the month. As I write this newsletter, we are heading into the phase of a New Moon, which occurs on Sunday, March 10th, 2024.

What I find interesting about the Moon is that we pay attention to the Full Moon mostly and its apparent illumination, beautiful glow, and the active energies that our lady Luna bestows on us. The New Moon, however, gets less heed and is only evident if you recognize the darkness in the night sky. It is hidden, invisible, out of our purview, and not given much thought. Before I understood the magical pull of the moon's phases, only the full moon captured my heart.  Now I understand the power of the unseen phase as well, and it is just as powerful, and yes, I am 100% a moon child, born in June and ruled by the Moon 🌕

The darkest phase of the Moon symbolizes NEW BEGINNINGS. It marks the start of a NEW LUNAR CYCLE. The New Moon is the most FERTILE time of the month, and with this energy comes an invitation to plant your seeds for what you desire to give BIRTH to.

What do you wish to dream up? What new ideas are germinating in the nutrient-rich soil of your soul?  What visions do you have that desire to manifest? What Sankalpa (Intention) deserves a deep planting?

Remember: Your New Moon Ritual focuses on what you want to call into your life.

Set aside some time on March 10th to get quiet, go within, and tap into the depth of your soul. New Moons are very Yin in nature and invite us to get still, go inward, meditate, and listen with an open heart to the magical wishes and miraculous manifestations that you are ready to birth. Open yourself up to the possibility and belief that everything you desire is yours.  As a passage from the Vedic text known as the Upanishads states, “You are what your deepest desire is. As your desire is, so is your intention. As your intention is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.”

Pen to Paper, Antenna to God. Write it Right, with conviction and belief that it is already done, acted upon, and taking root. You can also go outside into nature, connect with the Earth, a tree, grass, sand, water, or soil, and speak your intentions out loud.

(P..S for my Blue Spirit Tribe and Yoga Nidra Students, plant your Wildflower Seed Paper in the ground about 1/4" below the soil's surface. Water thoroughly and keep the soil moist for the first few weeks; watch your seeds sprout into wildflowers, and your intentions blossom into your dreams)

✨✨Trust in MAGIC and let yourself embrace the notion that IT exists and you are connected to IT✨✨

"Intention is a force in the universe, and everything and everyone is connected to this invisible force." ~ Wayne Dyer

If you are interested in crafting your Sankalpa (Intention) with me and integrating it into a Yoga Nidra Practice, I am hosting an ongoing Yoga Nidra Meditation at Practice Yoga Naples on the first Monday of every month at 11:45 am

In Joy and with Love,

ૐ♡
